Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the gained 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:), which rose 6.81% or 0.42 points to trade at 6.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux AB Class B (ST:) added 3.81% or 3.30 points to end at 88.90 and NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:) was up 3.46% or 1.50 points to 44.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:), which fell 1.31% or 2.00 points to trade at 151.00 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:) declined 0.03% or 0.02 points to end at 67.92 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:) was up 0.08% or 0.20 points to 265.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 456 to 305 and 90 ended unchanged.
Shares in Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.81% or 0.42 to 6.62.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.49% or 0.40 to $82.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.35% or 0.30 to hit $85.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.85% or 44.10 to trade at $2,423.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.15% to 11.40, while USD/SEK fell 0.50% to 10.49.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 104.10.
