Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the gained 0.94% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV:), which rose 4.29% or 5.55 points to trade at 134.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) added 4.28% or 5.50 points to end at 134.08 and Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 3.85% or 6.46 points to 174.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:), which fell 1.85% or 0.35 points to trade at 18.53 at the close. America Movil SAB de CV M (BMV:) declined 1.76% or 0.29 points to end at 16.22 and Corporacion Inmobiliaria Vesta SAB (BMV:) was down 0.88% or 0.51 points to 57.13.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 145 to 76 and 18 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.21% or 5.15 to $2,416.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.36% or 0.30 to hit $82.32 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.34% or 0.29 to trade at $85.11 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.89% to 17.61, while EUR/MXN fell 0.57% to 19.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 103.78.
