Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (BVMF:), which rose 9.24% or 1.10 points to trade at 13.01 at the close. Meanwhile, BRF SA (BVMF:) added 5.50% or 1.00 points to end at 19.19 and CSN Mineracao SA (BVMF:) was up 3.91% or 0.19 points to 5.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:), which fell 5.44% or 0.49 points to trade at 8.51 at the close. Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:) declined 4.46% or 0.09 points to end at 1.93 and Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF:) was down 3.31% or 0.60 points to 17.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 469 to 451 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Azul SA Pref (BVMF:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.44% or 0.49 to 8.51. Shares in Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.31% or 0.60 to 17.50.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 4.94% to 28.88.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.67% or 15.55 to $2,344.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.22% or 0.97 to hit $80.69 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 0.40% or 0.90 to trade at $226.40 .
USD/BRL was up 0.31% to 5.44, while EUR/BRL rose 0.26% to 5.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.88.
