Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the lost 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the were Fluidra (BME:), which rose 2.57% or 0.52 points to trade at 20.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankinter (BME:) added 2.22% or 0.17 points to end at 7.83 and Indra A (BME:) was up 2.15% or 0.41 points to 19.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (BME:), which fell 2.45% or 0.53 points to trade at 21.12 at the close. Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:) declined 1.45% or 0.08 points to end at 5.43 and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:) was down 1.37% or 0.13 points to 9.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 128 to 82 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.46% or 35.35 to $2,464.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.15% or 0.93 to hit $79.91 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.07% or 0.91 to trade at $83.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.09.
