(ETR:) added 2.57% or 0.74 points to end at 29.56 and Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.63% or 1.65 points to 102.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:), which fell 4.70% or 3.54 points to trade at 71.76 at the close. Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) declined 2.34% or 5.60 points to end at 233.80 and Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) was down 1.79% or 8.30 points to 456.40.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 3.16% to 21.89, Evonik Industries AG (ETR:) which was up 2.36% to settle at 19.07 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which gained 2.09% to close at 102.80.
The worst performers were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 7.48% to 37.35 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which lost 3.26% to settle at 62.30 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.48% to 8.65 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 11.65% to 49.66, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 3.16% to settle at 21.89 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which gained 2.90% to close at 81.60.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 3.26% to 62.30 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 2.65% to settle at 26.46 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.48% to 8.65 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 356 to 268 and 35 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.49% or 36.15 to $2,465.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.13% or 0.91 to hit $79.93 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.04% or 0.88 to trade at $83.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 104.07.
