Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the rose 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which rose 2.39% or 0.32 points to trade at 13.71 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) added 1.33% or 0.05 points to end at 3.51 and The Navigator Company SA (ELI:) was up 1.22% or 0.05 points to 3.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 0.47% or 0.03 points to trade at 5.26 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) declined 0.29% or 0.02 points to end at 6.96 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 0.25% or 0.05 points to 19.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.82% or 0.69 to $84.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.78% or 0.62 to hit $80.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 15.10 to trade at $2,344.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 104.86.
