Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the gained 0.21%, while the index lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which rose 3.03% or 3.15 points to trade at 107.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:) added 2.98% or 2.90 points to end at 100.10 and Stellantis NV (EPA:) was up 1.83% or 0.34 points to 19.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:), which fell 3.12% or 7.10 points to trade at 220.80 at the close. Safran SA (EPA:) declined 1.70% or 3.45 points to end at 199.15 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) was down 1.47% or 0.56 points to 37.90.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Derichebourg (EPA:) which rose 7.19% to 4.89, Atos SE (EPA:) which was up 5.43% to settle at 1.32 and Valeo SA (EPA:) which gained 4.59% to close at 10.14.
The worst performers were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) which was down 3.12% to 220.80 in late trade, Eramet SA (EPA:) which lost 3.03% to settle at 97.75 and Mersen (EPA:) which was down 2.61% to 33.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 298 to 185 and 107 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.90 to $2,460.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.11% or 0.09 to hit $81.53 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.11 to trade at $85.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 103.74.
