Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the added 1.71%.
The best performers of the session on the were Danske Bank A/S (CSE:), which rose 7.69% or 15.35 points to trade at 214.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:) added 3.49% or 5.35 points to end at 158.80 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:) was up 2.15% or 19.10 points to 906.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:), which fell 3.98% or 440.00 points to trade at 10,605.00 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:) declined 3.71% or 9.60 points to end at 249.40 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:) was down 3.52% or 380.00 points to 10,420.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 73 to 61 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CSE:) rose to 5-year highs; up 7.69% or 15.35 to 214.90. Shares in Demant A/S (CSE:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.71% or 9.60 to 249.40.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.54% or 1.25 to $80.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.28% or 1.09 to hit $84.02 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.05% or 50.25 to trade at $2,406.15 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.12% to 6.85, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.06.
