Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were ASM International NV (AS:), which rose 4.18% or 27.80 points to trade at 693.20 at the close. Meanwhile, BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:) added 1.69% or 2.55 points to end at 153.70 and Randstad NV (AS:) was up 1.43% or 0.64 points to 45.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akzo Nobel NV (AS:), which fell 2.98% or 1.74 points to trade at 56.60 at the close. Adyen NV (AS:) declined 2.29% or 26.00 points to end at 1,108.80 and Prosus (AS:) was down 1.41% or 0.47 points to 32.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 64 to 39 and 10 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.14% or 1.68 to $76.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.91% or 1.57 to hit $80.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 10.50 to trade at $2,405.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.20.
