Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the fell 0.49% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Text SA (WA:), which rose 2.03% or 1.70 points to trade at 85.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:) added 1.54% or 13.00 points to end at 855.00 and X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:) was up 1.39% or 0.86 points to 62.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BUDIMEX SA (WA:), which fell 3.55% or 23.50 points to trade at 639.00 at the close. Asseco Poland SA (WA:) declined 2.04% or 1.75 points to end at 83.85 and LPP SA (WA:) was down 1.90% or 310.00 points to 15,980.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 300 to 202 and 119 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.39% or 1.07 to $78.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.26% or 1.02 to hit $82.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 19.80 to trade at $2,427.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.48% to 4.30, while USD/PLN rose 0.46% to 3.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 103.89.
