Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the were Mapfre (BME:), which rose 3.57% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Fluidra (BME:) added 2.83% or 0.56 points to end at 20.34 and Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:) was up 2.72% or 0.50 points to 18.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Repsol (BME:), which fell 1.03% or 0.14 points to trade at 13.02 at the close. Caixabank SA (BME:) declined 0.59% or 0.03 points to end at 5.42 and Amadeus IT (BME:) was down 0.56% or 0.34 points to 60.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 81 and 30 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.31% or 30.80 to $2,384.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.49% or 1.17 to hit $77.11 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.59% or 1.31 to trade at $81.06 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.05.
