Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the rose 1.22%, while the index declined 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the were EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:), which rose 7.39% or 14.25 points to trade at 207.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) added 4.22% or 3.22 points to end at 79.60 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:) was up 3.63% or 1.22 points to 34.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:), which fell 3.88% or 1.24 points to trade at 30.72 at the close. Stellantis NV (EPA:) declined 3.08% or 0.51 points to end at 16.17 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) was down 2.62% or 1.82 points to 67.64.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexity (EPA:) which rose 13.79% to 9.90, Valeo SA (EPA:) which was up 8.49% to settle at 10.35 and La Francaise Des Jeux Sa (EPA:) which gained 8.20% to close at 35.36.
The worst performers were Eramet SA (EPA:) which was down 11.66% to 82.20 in late trade, Atos SE (EPA:) which lost 11.47% to settle at 0.93 and Lectra SA (EPA:) which was down 4.29% to 26.80 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 308 to 193 and 86 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.88% or 1.24 to 30.72. Shares in Stellantis NV (EPA:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.08% or 0.51 to 16.17.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.31% or 30.90 to $2,384.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.43% or 1.12 to hit $77.16 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.54% or 1.27 to trade at $81.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.07.
