Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he will respond to Ukraine’s recent strikes. As Ukraine continues to suffer setbacks on the battlefield, it has stepped up drone strikes on civilian targets and infrastructure, to which Putin says retaliation will be “several times” more powerful.

Ukraine has recently intensified drone attacks on Russian energy infrastructure using Western aid and resources. It has also attacked residential areas in recent months, amid launching several hundred unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) a day on average. First-person view, or FPV, drones, including artificial intelligence-assisted models, have increasingly targeted passenger buses and private vehicles.

Putin made the threat on Monday while speaking at the ‘All for Victory!’ forum organized by the All-Russian People’s Front,

“Our response will always mirror any strike on Russian territory. We will respond in kind – only several times more powerfully,” Putin said, according to a report by RT. “The enemy will feel it. They already do, I hope. And they will feel it even more in the future.”

Putin continued to discuss Russia’s strength, which he says lies in its ability to overcome “every difficulty and every challenge.” He also added to the “Russophobic” narrative of the collective West, as it continues to wage a campaign against the country. He added his remarks about the Ukraine conflict and Moscow’s response going forward to Western backing for Kiev.

So far, the West hasn’t seen any backlash from supporting Kiev’s war.

Russia Warns Of “Red Lines” Being Crossed…Again

Putin says that even though Russia is under pressure, it is still “developing its economy, strengthening its financial system, modernizing its Armed Forces and expanding its defense industry,” he said, adding that these efforts are already changing “the situation on the battlefield.”

“Our fighters are advancing,” Putin said. “That is why there is no doubt we will achieve victory.”

Russia has been warning for years of the West getting involved in this conflict. Not only do the threats continue, but Russia hasn’t actually done anything when the West crosses its red lines. Maybe this time will be different, but it doesn’t seem like it. Russia almost appears to want to draw this war out as long as possible.
