Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the declined 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the were Amplifon (BIT:), which rose 4.37% or 1.23 points to trade at 29.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (BIT:) added 3.13% or 1.53 points to end at 50.35 and Iveco Group NV (BIT:) was up 2.81% or 0.26 points to 9.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:), which fell 3.16% or 0.23 points to trade at 7.04 at the close. Leonardo SpA (BIT:) declined 2.78% or 0.63 points to end at 22.01 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:) was down 2.73% or 0.44 points to 15.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 263 to 221 and 49 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.52% or 2.63 to $77.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.01% or 2.35 to hit $80.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 16.20 to trade at $2,468.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 103.95.
