Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the fell 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the were Melexis NV (EBR:), which rose 4.61% or 3.55 points to trade at 80.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Ageas (EBR:) added 1.29% or 0.56 points to end at 44.14 and Argen-X (EBR:) was up 0.96% or 4.50 points to 471.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Proximus NV (EBR:), which fell 3.19% or 0.22 points to trade at 6.68 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:) declined 2.59% or 0.66 points to end at 24.82 and Aedifica (EBR:) was down 2.57% or 1.55 points to 58.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 46 to 36 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.64% or 15.65 to $2,467.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.56% or 2.66 to hit $77.39 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 3.07% or 2.40 to trade at $80.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 103.95.
