The best performers of the session on the were Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:), which rose 2.88% or 5.24 points to trade at 186.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:) added 2.02% or 0.61 points to end at 30.74 and Boeing Co (NYSE:) was up 2.00% or 3.74 points to 190.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:), which fell 2.16% or 3.48 points to trade at 157.85 at the close. Merck & Company Inc (NYSE:) declined 1.84% or 2.13 points to end at 113.13 and Travelers Companies (NYSE:) was down 1.81% or 3.98 points to 216.44.
The top performers on the S&P 500 were Match Group Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 13.21% to 38.14, NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:) which was up 12.81% to settle at 117.02 and Constellation Energy Corp (NASDAQ:) which gained 12.50% to close at 189.77.
The worst performers were Humana Inc (NYSE:) which was down 10.61% to 361.61 in late trade, Verisk Analytics Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 8.48% to settle at 261.75 and Bunge Limited (NYSE:) which was down 8.14% to 105.23 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were noco noco Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 87.58% to 0.29, Nuzee Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 61.62% to settle at 5.98 and Windtree Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 60.56% to close at 9.12.
The worst performers were Cetus Capital Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) which was down 62.18% to 2.22 in late trade, Imunon Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 59.34% to settle at 1.35 and FibroGen Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 47.56% to 0.54 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 1829 to 1023 and 73 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 1895 rose and 1410 declined, while 153 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cetus Capital Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) fell to all time lows; down 62.18% or 3.65 to 2.22.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.67% or 41.00 to $2,492.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 4.92% or 3.68 to hit $78.41 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 4.23% or 3.30 to trade at $81.37 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.08, while USD/JPY fell 1.76% to 150.07.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 103.83.
