Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the lost 2.69% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Ferrari NV (BIT:), which rose 2.50% or 9.50 points to trade at 389.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Nexi SpA (BIT:) added 1.02% or 0.06 points to end at 5.73 and Telecom Italia (BIT:) was unchanged 0.88% or 0.00 points to 0.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris SA (BIT:), which fell 8.71% or 1.27 points to trade at 13.37 at the close. Prysmian SpA (BIT:) declined 8.56% or 5.44 points to end at 58.10 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:) was down 6.75% or 0.34 points to 4.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 372 to 133 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tenaris SA (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 8.71% or 1.27 to 13.37.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.91% or 0.71 to $77.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.67% or 0.54 to hit $80.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 17.40 to trade at $2,490.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 104.12.
