Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 0.27% to hit a new 6-months low, while the index declined 1.49%.
The best performers of the session on the were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which rose 2.52% or 0.48 points to trade at 19.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (EPA:) added 1.95% or 2.54 points to end at 133.04 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:) was up 1.66% or 1.48 points to 90.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 2.92% or 3.05 points to trade at 101.50 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:) declined 2.58% or 6.85 points to end at 258.50 and Carrefour SA (EPA:) was down 1.57% or 0.22 points to 13.49.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:) which rose 9.87% to 1.83, Euroapi SAS (EPA:) which was up 6.93% to settle at 3.86 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which gained 5.93% to close at 1.41.
The worst performers were Viridien SA (EPA:) which was down 6.54% to 38.67 in late trade, Soitec SA (EPA:) which lost 3.23% to settle at 108.00 and Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was down 2.93% to 4.43 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 277 to 209 and 99 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kering SA (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.58% or 6.85 to 258.50.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.65% or 15.95 to $2,428.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.04% or 0.76 to hit $73.70 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.88% or 0.67 to trade at $76.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 102.81.
