Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the gained 1.91%, while the index fell 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which rose 3.65% or 3.70 points to trade at 105.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) added 3.28% or 6.65 points to end at 209.35 and Vivendi SA (EPA:) was up 3.08% or 0.28 points to 9.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which fell 1.46% or 0.78 points to trade at 52.76 at the close. Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:) added 0.38% or 0.13 points to end at 34.15 and Orange SA (EPA:) was up 0.45% or 0.05 points to 10.15.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA (EPA:) which rose 6.63% to 8.27, Euroapi SAS (EPA:) which was up 5.65% to settle at 4.08 and Clariane SE (EPA:) which gained 4.88% to close at 1.91.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was down 5.96% to 4.17 in late trade, Viridien SA (EPA:) which lost 2.15% to settle at 37.84 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) which was down 1.46% to 52.76 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 346 to 143 and 91 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.12% or 3.00 to $2,434.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.14% or 2.30 to hit $75.50 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.72% or 2.08 to trade at $78.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 102.99.
