Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:), which rose 2.96% or 1.30 points to trade at 45.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:) added 2.33% or 3.87 points to end at 168.94 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was up 1.68% or 0.17 points to 10.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which fell 2.57% or 1.13 points to trade at 42.78 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:) declined 2.47% or 12.95 points to end at 511.35 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:) was down 1.88% or 2.89 points to 151.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 119 to 83 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 7.30 to $2,470.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.04% or 0.79 to hit $76.98 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.28 to trade at $79.44 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.13% to 18.84, while EUR/MXN fell 0.25% to 20.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.97.
