Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the added 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the were Nexi SpA (BIT:), which rose 2.43% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:) added 1.45% or 1.20 points to end at 84.00 and Hera (BIT:) was up 1.40% or 0.05 points to 3.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (BIT:), which unchanged 1.45% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.22 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) declined 1.24% or 0.06 points to end at 4.71 and FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (BIT:) was down 1.04% or 0.15 points to 14.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 268 to 187 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.20% or 1.76 to $78.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.02% or 1.66 to hit $80.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.50 to trade at $2,508.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.68.
