Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which rose 3.37% or 0.36 points to trade at 11.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:) added 2.20% or 3.90 points to end at 180.77 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:) was up 1.89% or 3.12 points to 167.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:), which fell 4.26% or 0.33 points to trade at 7.42 at the close. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) declined 2.52% or 3.04 points to end at 117.62 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was down 1.63% or 1.75 points to 105.13.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 107 to 99 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:) fell to all time lows; falling 4.26% or 0.33 to 7.42.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.87% or 21.80 to $2,486.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.49% or 1.17 to hit $77.18 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $79.93 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.16% to 18.81, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 20.71.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 102.43.
