Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Exor NV (AS:), which rose 1.51% or 1.40 points to trade at 93.85 at the close. Meanwhile, NN Group NV (AS:) added 1.33% or 0.60 points to end at 45.60 and ASML Holding NV (AS:) was up 1.24% or 9.80 points to 799.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prosus (AS:), which fell 2.30% or 0.77 points to trade at 32.45 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) declined 1.11% or 1.30 points to end at 116.30 and Akzo Nobel NV (AS:) was down 0.49% or 0.26 points to 53.12.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 65 to 34 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Akzo Nobel NV (AS:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 0.49% or 0.26 to 53.12.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.91% or 0.71 to $77.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.37% or 0.30 to hit $80.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.02% or 25.55 to trade at $2,482.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 102.32.
