Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the gained 0.79%, while the index lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the were Hermes International SCA (EPA:), which rose 2.06% or 42.00 points to trade at 2,077.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) added 1.61% or 3.45 points to end at 218.05 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) was up 1.58% or 10.00 points to 644.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 0.58% or 0.60 points to trade at 102.50 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:) declined 0.36% or 0.90 points to end at 251.15 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was down 0.25% or 0.05 points to 19.72.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Valneva (EPA:) which rose 5.07% to 3.48, Viridien SA (EPA:) which was up 2.71% to settle at 38.49 and Voltalia SA (EPA:) which gained 2.57% to close at 10.36.
The worst performers were Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:) which was down 2.01% to 43.85 in late trade, Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:) which lost 1.59% to settle at 169.80 and SES (EPA:) which was down 1.28% to 4.64 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 276 to 189 and 105 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.98% or 24.55 to $2,483.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.93% or 0.73 to hit $77.62 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.33 to trade at $80.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 102.31.
