Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were Universal Textile Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 1.55 points to trade at 17.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Abonmax Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.98% or 2.45 points to end at 27.00 and Kindom Construction Corp (TW:) was up 9.94% or 5.30 points to 58.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Favite Inc (TW:), which fell 9.92% or 7.50 points to trade at 68.10 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Action Electronics Co Ltd (TW:) was down 9.19% or 2.15 points to 21.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.25% or 0.19 to $77.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $79.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 11.60 to trade at $2,491.30 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.14% to 32.30, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.41.
