Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:), which rose 9.86% or 0.34 points to trade at 3.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Localiza Rent a Car SA (BVMF:) added 7.91% or 3.10 points to end at 42.30 and IRB Brasil Resseguros SA (BVMF:) was up 5.32% or 2.26 points to 44.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azzas 2154 SA (BVMF:), which fell 5.17% or 2.79 points to trade at 51.15 at the close. Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:) declined 4.97% or 0.66 points to end at 12.63 and Cogna Educacao SA (BVMF:) was down 4.32% or 0.06 points to 1.33.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 475 to 439 and 47 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.13% or 53.00 to $2,545.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.87% or 1.46 to hit $76.70 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 2.36% or 5.65 to trade at $245.55 .
USD/BRL was down 0.19% to 5.47, while EUR/BRL rose 0.35% to 6.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 102.28.
