Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.80%, while the index gained 0.12%, and the index added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which rose 10.37% or 2.73 points to trade at 29.00 at the close. Meanwhile, E.ON SE (ETR:) added 1.92% or 0.23 points to end at 12.22 and Munich Reinsurance (ETR:) was up 1.88% or 8.50 points to 461.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Merck KGaA (ETR:), which fell 1.30% or 2.20 points to trade at 167.55 at the close. Adidas AG (ETR:) declined 0.64% or 1.40 points to end at 217.00 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.44% or 0.26 points to 59.24.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 6.28% to 7.34, Evonik Industries AG (ETR:) which was up 2.80% to settle at 19.27 and Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.58% to close at 75.45.
The worst performers were Scout24 AG (ETR:) which was down 4.20% to 66.15 in late trade, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which lost 1.78% to settle at 2.04 and Befesa SA (ETR:) which was down 1.68% to 25.80 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.35% to 16.10, Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was up 1.41% to settle at 57.50 and United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which gained 1.22% to close at 18.29.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 2.21% to 22.16 in late trade, Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which lost 1.88% to settle at 136.00 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 1.26% to 62.90 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 329 to 281 and 28 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 8.67% to 15.47.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.61% or 40.10 to $2,532.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.52% or 1.19 to hit $76.97 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.35% or 1.09 to trade at $79.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.54.
