Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the added 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the were Quality and Reliability SA (AT:), which rose 3.38% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:) added 2.94% or 0.06 points to end at 2.10 and Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:) was up 2.43% or 0.05 points to 2.11 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Optima bank SA (AT:), which fell 3.23% or 0.40 points to trade at 11.98 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:) declined 1.75% or 0.07 points to end at 3.92 and Piraeus Port (AT:) was down 1.72% or 0.45 points to 25.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 54 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.14% or 3.45 to $2,541.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.64% or 0.48 to hit $75.06 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.68% or 0.54 to trade at $79.14 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 101.81.
