Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the gained 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the were Telecom Italia (BIT:), which rose 3.92% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:) added 2.57% or 2.20 points to end at 87.70 and Stellantis NV (BIT:) was up 2.55% or 0.37 points to 14.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (BIT:), which fell 0.80% or 0.18 points to trade at 22.44 at the close. Recordati (BIT:) declined 0.40% or 0.20 points to end at 50.40 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:) was down 0.23% or 0.01 points to 5.24.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 314 to 158 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.89% or 1.43 to $74.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.88% or 1.50 to hit $78.18 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 4.95 to trade at $2,542.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.80.
