Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.70%, while the index gained 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the were Stellantis NV (EPA:), which rose 2.58% or 0.37 points to trade at 14.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Kering SA (EPA:) added 2.55% or 6.50 points to end at 261.00 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) was up 2.49% or 16.40 points to 674.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Thales (EPA:), which fell 0.77% or 1.15 points to trade at 148.65 at the close. Air Liquide SA (EPA:) declined 0.29% or 0.48 points to end at 165.40 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:) was down 0.28% or 0.60 points to 211.60.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Valneva (EPA:) which rose 11.62% to 3.78, Ayvens SA (EPA:) which was up 4.18% to settle at 6.11 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which gained 3.21% to close at 1.51.
The worst performers were Clariane SE (EPA:) which was down 10.10% to 1.80 in late trade, Emeis SA (EPA:) which lost 6.82% to settle at 9.53 and Nexans SA (EPA:) which was down 2.25% to 117.40 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 297 to 202 and 89 ended unchanged.
Shares in Emeis SA (EPA:) fell to all time lows; losing 6.82% or 0.70 to 9.53.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 4.70 to $2,542.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.81% or 1.37 to hit $74.17 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.79% or 1.43 to trade at $78.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 101.81.
