Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the rose 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the were Umicore SA (EBR:), which rose 3.13% or 0.34 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Aperam SA (AS:) added 2.74% or 0.68 points to end at 25.54 and Proximus NV (EBR:) was up 2.16% or 0.14 points to 6.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aedifica (EBR:), which fell 0.89% or 0.55 points to trade at 61.10 at the close. Argen-X (EBR:) declined 0.69% or 3.30 points to end at 474.30 and Melexis NV (EBR:) was down 0.19% or 0.15 points to 79.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 60 to 30 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 4.90 to $2,542.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.81% or 1.37 to hit $74.17 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.82% or 1.45 to trade at $78.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 101.81.
