Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:), which rose 2.85% or 420.00 points to trade at 15,170.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:) added 1.80% or 120.00 points to end at 6,798.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:) was up 1.80% or 81.00 points to 4,570.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:), which fell 3.05% or 750.00 points to trade at 23,870.00 at the close. OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:) declined 2.82% or 76.00 points to end at 2,615.00 and Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:) was down 2.64% or 157.00 points to 5,789.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 287 to 140 and 112 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.19% or 0.14 to $73.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.31% or 0.24 to hit $77.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 11.05 to trade at $2,539.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.02% to 3.73, while EUR/ILS rose 0.98% to 4.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 101.25.
