Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.51%, while the index gained 0.56%, and the index climbed 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:), which rose 2.32% or 1.60 points to trade at 70.64 at the close. Meanwhile, BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) added 1.87% or 0.81 points to end at 44.16 and Adidas AG (ETR:) was up 1.54% or 3.30 points to 217.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 0.75% or 2.00 points to trade at 265.00 at the close. Bayer AG NA (ETR:) declined 0.57% or 0.16 points to end at 28.11 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) was down 0.32% or 0.08 points to 25.00.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which rose 3.72% to 22.28, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.96% to settle at 3.24 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which gained 2.40% to close at 29.00.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.69% to 5.54 in late trade, Tui AG NA (ETR:) which lost 1.45% to settle at 5.71 and Rational AG (ETR:) which was down 1.05% to 893.50 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which rose 2.40% to 29.00, Kontron AG (ETR:) which was up 2.18% to settle at 16.90 and 11 AG (ETR:) which gained 1.95% to close at 13.56.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.69% to 5.54 in late trade, PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which lost 1.24% to settle at 12.78 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was down 0.32% to 25.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 387 to 209 and 37 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.41% to 14.20.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.20% or 5.10 to $2,545.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.04% or 0.76 to hit $72.41 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.80% or 0.62 to trade at $76.58 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 101.05.
