Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the fell 0.32%, while the index gained 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the were Carrefour SA (EPA:), which rose 2.24% or 0.32 points to trade at 14.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA (EPA:) added 1.17% or 0.25 points to end at 21.61 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) was up 1.14% or 1.20 points to 106.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hermes International SCA (EPA:), which fell 2.69% or 59.00 points to trade at 2,133.00 at the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) declined 1.79% or 12.20 points to end at 669.80 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) was down 1.31% or 1.02 points to 77.02.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Carrefour SA (EPA:) which rose 2.24% to 14.61, Air France KLM SA (EPA:) which was up 2.09% to settle at 7.82 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:) which gained 1.81% to close at 180.40.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:) which was down 3.15% to 0.81 in late trade, Valneva (EPA:) which lost 2.76% to settle at 3.38 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:) which was down 2.69% to 2,133.00 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 253 to 212 and 111 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 8.55 to $2,546.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.12% or 1.64 to hit $75.78 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.87% or 1.50 to trade at $78.86 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.66.
