Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.16%, while the index fell 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the were Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:), which rose 1.27% or 1.24 points to trade at 98.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Danone SA (EPA:) added 1.24% or 0.76 points to end at 62.24 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) was up 1.20% or 0.25 points to 21.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:), which fell 1.31% or 1.40 points to trade at 105.35 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:) declined 1.18% or 3.05 points to end at 256.40 and Renault SA (EPA:) was down 0.86% or 0.37 points to 42.84.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eiffage SA (EPA:) which rose 1.36% to 95.36, Euronext (EPA:) which was up 1.35% to settle at 97.25 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:) which gained 1.27% to close at 98.92.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was down 5.39% to 4.32 in late trade, Worldline SA (EPA:) which lost 3.71% to settle at 8.00 and Valneva (EPA:) which was down 3.37% to 3.27 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 262 to 207 and 107 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danone SA (EPA:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 1.24% or 0.76 to 62.24. Shares in Euronext (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.35% or 1.30 to 97.25.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 12.35 to $2,540.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.07% or 0.81 to hit $74.72 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.09% or 0.86 to trade at $77.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 100.95.
