Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the gained 1.33%.
The best performers of the session on the were Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:), which rose 5.18% or 7.83 points to trade at 158.28 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:) added 5.07% or 16.97 points to end at 352.76 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was up 2.77% or 2.74 points to 101.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 1.58% or 2.70 points to trade at 168.60 at the close. Becle SA (BMV:) declined 1.53% or 0.50 points to end at 32.17 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was down 1.39% or 0.79 points to 56.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 188 to 65 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.07% or 16.97 to 352.76.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.66% or 16.80 to $2,554.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.01% or 1.50 to hit $76.02 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.22% or 0.17 to trade at $78.75 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 19.85, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 21.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 101.30.
