Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the added 0.69% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were EDP Renovaveis (ELI:), which rose 2.62% or 0.37 points to trade at 14.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) added 1.70% or 0.15 points to end at 8.98 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:) was up 1.36% or 0.06 points to 4.47 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:), which fell 1.19% or 0.23 points to trade at 18.76 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:) declined 0.83% or 0.06 points to end at 7.20 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:) was down 0.20% or 0.01 points to 3.07.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 19 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.89% or 1.49 to $77.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.40% or 1.82 to hit $74.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.94% or 24.00 to trade at $2,536.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 101.57.
