Investing.com – Russia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the declined 0.71% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the were NK Rosneft PAO (MCX:), which rose 3.03% or 13.80 points to trade at 468.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Aeroflot (MCX:) added 2.95% or 1.32 points to end at 46.07 and PIK (MCX:) was up 2.67% or 16.60 points to 638.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank OAO (MCX:), which fell 4.31% or 0.25 points to trade at 5.61 at the close. Ros Agro PLC (MCX:) declined 2.79% or 32.20 points to end at 1,120.00 and AFK Sistema (MCX:) was down 2.74% or 0.42 points to 14.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 130 to 112 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Moskovskiy Kreditnyi Bank OAO (MCX:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.31% or 0.25 to 5.61. Shares in AFK Sistema (MCX:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.74% or 0.42 to 14.75.
The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 7.28% to 38.71.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.11% or 2.80 to $2,524.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.53% or 3.33 to hit $70.22 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $73.71 a barrel.
USD/RUB was up 0.88% to 87.86, while EUR/RUB rose 0.89% to 97.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.69.
