Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the declined 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were Telecom Italia (BIT:), which unchanged 1.88% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Enel (BIT:) added 1.64% or 0.11 points to end at 6.99 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:) was up 1.51% or 0.15 points to 9.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:), which fell 5.25% or 4.70 points to trade at 84.85 at the close. Ferrari NV (BIT:) declined 2.35% or 10.30 points to end at 428.20 and Moncler SpA (BIT:) was down 2.19% or 1.14 points to 50.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 255 to 226 and 48 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enel (BIT:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.64% or 0.11 to 6.99.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.36% or 0.25 to $69.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.37% or 0.27 to hit $72.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 12.60 to trade at $2,538.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 101.09.
