The best performers of the session on the were Primo Water Corp (TSX:), which rose 8.85% or 2.62 points to trade at 32.21 at the close. Meanwhile, North West Company Inc (TSX:) added 7.16% or 3.27 points to end at 48.92 and IAMGold Corporation (TSX:) was up 4.31% or 0.28 points to 6.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were First Majestic Silver Corp. (TSX:), which fell 8.12% or 0.58 points to trade at 6.56 at the close. Canada Goose Holdings Inc (TSX:) declined 4.25% or 0.64 points to end at 14.43 and BRP Inc (TSX:) was down 4.08% or 3.80 points to 89.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 504 to 411 and 113 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.80% or 20.10 to $2,546.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $69.19 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $72.68 a barrel.
CAD/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 0.74, while CAD/EUR unchanged 0.24% to 0.67.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 101.03.
