Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Relx PLC (AS:), which rose 0.57% or 0.24 points to trade at 42.68 at the close. Meanwhile, DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) added 0.33% or 0.40 points to end at 121.95 and Heineken (AS:) was down 0.15% or 0.12 points to 81.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which fell 2.18% or 0.44 points to trade at 19.70 at the close. ASR Nederland NV (AS:) declined 2.14% or 0.95 points to end at 43.36 and Aegon Ltd (AS:) was down 2.01% or 0.11 points to 5.37.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 75 to 32 and 6 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.31% or 2.96 to $65.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.77% or 2.71 to hit $69.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 7.50 to trade at $2,540.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 101.63.
