Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the fell 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:), which rose 3.20% or 0.52 points to trade at 16.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:) added 1.98% or 0.21 points to end at 10.83 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:) was up 1.46% or 11.00 points to 764.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:), which fell 4.30% or 0.99 points to trade at 22.01 at the close. CCC SA (WA:) declined 3.05% or 4.50 points to end at 143.00 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:) was down 2.89% or 4.45 points to 149.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 283 to 189 and 122 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.30% or 0.99 to 22.01.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 4.08% or 2.80 to $65.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.49% or 2.51 to hit $69.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 10.95 to trade at $2,543.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.19% to 4.28, while USD/PLN rose 0.27% to 3.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.64.
