Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the were BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:), which rose 3.81% or 4.10 points to trade at 111.80 at the close. Meanwhile, ASML Holding NV (AS:) added 3.48% or 24.30 points to end at 722.40 and IMCD NV (AS:) was up 3.12% or 4.70 points to 155.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:), which fell 1.54% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.70 at the close. DSM Firmenich AG (AS:) declined 0.62% or 0.75 points to end at 119.40 and Unilever PLC (AS:) was down 0.61% or 0.36 points to 58.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 72 to 27 and 11 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.16% or 2.13 to $69.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.69% or 1.90 to hit $72.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.47% or 37.50 to trade at $2,579.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 101.49.
