Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the gained 1.23% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:), which rose 3.22% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:) added 2.60% or 0.05 points to end at 1.88 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:) was up 2.48% or 0.29 points to 11.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bankinter (BME:), which fell 0.90% or 0.07 points to trade at 7.95 at the close. Redeia Corporacion SA (BME:) declined 0.75% or 0.13 points to end at 17.18 and Logista (BME:) was down 0.21% or 0.06 points to 27.94.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 126 to 70 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.23% or 31.75 to $2,612.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.49% or 0.34 to hit $69.31 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.34 to trade at $72.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 101.06.
