Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the gained 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the were Umicore SA (EBR:), which rose 4.83% or 0.50 points to trade at 10.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Solvay SA (EBR:) added 4.13% or 1.30 points to end at 32.75 and KBC Groep NV (EBR:) was up 2.93% or 2.02 points to 70.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB SA (EBR:), which fell 3.41% or 5.60 points to trade at 158.85 at the close. Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:) declined 1.78% or 0.44 points to end at 24.30 and Aedifica (EBR:) was down 1.32% or 0.85 points to 63.45.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 47 to 47 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.72% or 18.75 to $2,590.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.77% or 1.22 to hit $70.24 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.48% or 1.08 to trade at $73.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 100.61.
