Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:), which rose 13.84% or 0.76 points to trade at 6.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:) added 3.74% or 0.17 points to end at 4.72 and Cogna Educacao SA (BVMF:) was up 2.76% or 0.04 points to 1.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CSN Mineracao SA (BVMF:), which fell 2.82% or 0.20 points to trade at 6.90 at the close. Braskem SA (BVMF:) declined 1.87% or 0.36 points to end at 18.89 and Embraer SA (BVMF:) was down 1.61% or 0.79 points to 48.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 552 to 388 and 69 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 3.04% to 26.43.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 13.10 to $2,595.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.42% or 0.98 to hit $70.00 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 1.93% or 5.00 to trade at $263.55 .
USD/BRL was down 0.48% to 5.48, while EUR/BRL fell 0.58% to 6.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 100.65.
