Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the rose 2.29%, while the index declined 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the were Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:), which rose 4.42% or 3.58 points to trade at 84.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (EPA:) added 4.35% or 83.00 points to end at 1,992.00 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) was up 4.09% or 2.14 points to 54.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Engie SA (EPA:), which fell 2.23% or 0.36 points to trade at 15.57 at the close. Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:) declined 1.96% or 1.52 points to end at 76.12 and Orange SA (EPA:) was down 1.24% or 0.14 points to 10.78.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Beneteau SA (EPA:) which rose 11.14% to 9.08, Atos SE (EPA:) which was up 8.10% to settle at 0.79 and Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:) which gained 6.17% to close at 43.85.
The worst performers were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:) which was down 3.04% to 1.43 in late trade, Voltalia SA (EPA:) which lost 2.55% to settle at 8.04 and Engie SA (EPA:) which was down 2.23% to 15.57 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 298 to 182 and 101 ended unchanged.
Shares in Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) rose to all time highs; rising 4.42% or 3.58 to 84.52.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.62% or 16.00 to $2,614.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.20% or 1.54 to hit $71.42 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.94% or 1.43 to trade at $75.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 100.43.
