Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the gained 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the were Elia (EBR:), which rose 2.50% or 2.50 points to trade at 102.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (EBR:) added 2.47% or 0.26 points to end at 10.77 and Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:) was up 1.91% or 0.46 points to 24.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:), which fell 0.79% or 1.50 points to trade at 188.00 at the close. Sofina (EBR:) declined 0.47% or 1.20 points to end at 253.40 and Argen-X (EBR:) was down 0.37% or 1.80 points to 480.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 53 to 41 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 7.35 to $2,653.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.30% or 0.92 to hit $70.08 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.09% or 0.80 to trade at $72.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.55% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 100.56.
