Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the fell 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the were Fluidra (BME:), which rose 2.73% or 0.60 points to trade at 22.54 at the close. Meanwhile, SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:) added 2.34% or 0.27 points to end at 11.81 and Caixabank SA (BME:) was up 0.96% or 0.05 points to 5.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Acerinox (BME:), which fell 1.80% or 0.18 points to trade at 9.84 at the close. Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:) declined 1.65% or 0.88 points to end at 52.38 and Puig Brands SA (BME:) was down 1.38% or 0.28 points to 19.67.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 105 to 87 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.14% or 3.65 to $2,680.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.22% or 1.59 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.75% or 1.30 to trade at $73.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 100.52.
