Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the added 0.66% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Copartner Technology Corp (TW:) added 9.96% or 2.65 points to end at 29.25 and Wan Hai Lines Ltd (TW:) was up 9.94% or 8.20 points to 90.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Aces Electronics Co Ltd (TW:) declined 9.66% or 5.90 points to end at 55.20 and Headway Advanced Materials Inc (TW:) was down 9.43% or 2.50 points to 24.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-years highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Copartner Technology Corp (TW:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 9.96% or 2.65 to 29.25.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.67% or 1.86 to $67.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.65% or 1.93 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.45 to trade at $2,684.25 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.50% to 31.84, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.32% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 100.52.
